Ordering at Amazon.co.jp is fun and easy. You'll find the ordering process at Amazon.co.jp very similar to what you've seen at other Amazon sites.

If you are ordering from Amazon.co.jp for the first time, you'll need to set up an account, which will happen automatically as you proceed through the order form.

Your existing Amazon.com, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, or Amazon.ca account will not be recognized at Amazon.co.jp. You are, however, welcome to use the same e-mail address/password combination you are using for your other Amazon accounts.

Language Preference

You have the option of viewing the order form and Your Account features in either Japanese or English. You can access the language preference page:

• Click the "Display in English" link on the right side of any product information page.
• Click the "Would you like to see this page in English?" link at the top of the Shopping Cart.

Once you have reached the language preference page, select the language you prefer and click the Confirm button when finished.

First you will need to search or browse for the items you would like to order. Keyword search boxes are located on nearly every page of our store. You will also find links to browse lists and more detailed product-specific searches in the top navigation bar of each store. When you find an item that interests you, click the title or name of the item to see its product information page (in Japanese only). This page contains information about the item, including an availability estimate of how long it will take before the item is ready to leave our distribution center.

You may search our catalog using hiragana, katakana, kanji, or roman characters. If you are looking for English-language items, we recommend that you search using roman characters. Simply enter a few words into the All Products search field below the navigation bar, and we will show you all the products that match.

The only information Amazon.co.jp can give you about a particular item is what they display on the product information page for that item (in Japanese only).

Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart

To order an item, click the yellow "Add to Shopping Cart" button on the right side of the product information page. (If the button is in Japanese, find out how to change your language preference to English.) Use the cart's top navigation bar or the "Continue shopping" button to continue shopping until you select all the items you want to order. To access your Shopping Cart contents, click the Shopping Cart icon at the top of any page of Amazon.co.jp website.
